Basics of Program Design

Every teacher has a superpower. Explore what kind of teaching lights you up and makes you excited. Learn how to turn that superpower into a program your students will love.

Studio Policy Creation

No one likes to enforce rules. Learn to design policies that honor everyone so the rules take care of themselves.

Pricing & Invoicing

Unsure of how to price what you offer? Struggling to chase down payments month to month. Package your teaching in a way that is appealing to families. Offer consistent payment options and have a predictable income for yourself.

Dream big!

What would your ideal work day look like? Imagine a life with your studio designed around it. Create a teaching offering that fits into your life and gives your space to be your whole creative self.

What you'll leave with:

Program Design

A fully designed and personalized program ready for implementation in the fall, or even this summer! One that uses your unique gifts for teaching, designed for YOUR ideal student.

Studio Policies

A set of policies that work for your needs and those of your families. We'll create customized templates and contracts that outline expectations around attendance, financials, practicing and performances.

Invoicing

Chasing down payments is never fun. With Stress-Free Studio, you'll know how to price your program and automate billing systems that get you paid on time (without those awkward conversation!). This template alone is worth the price of the program!

Recruitment

After discussing and developing strategies for attracting the right kind of student, you'll feel confident in your ability to find and enroll new students. You'll have a waiting list in no time!

About Laura

Laura Sinclair

Stress-Free Studio Creator, Violist/violinist Entrepreneur

Hi, I’m Laura! I am violist, teacher and coach who grew up as a farmgirl in a fishing village of 300.

I traded the snowy tundra of Canada for the palm trees and sandy beaches of Florida. The important things that were instilled in me like work ethic, resourcefulness and the importance of community ended up in the suitcase.

I use my Delray Beach home as a launching pad for a life of teaching, performing and traveling (sometimes all three at once!).

Laura Bass
Multi-instrumental string performer and educator

I have lesson policies and contracts, pricing flyers, an organized invoicing system (through my music staff), and a steady income from my lessons. I went from making roughly $3,000 annually from my private studio to a projected $30,000.

What is your biggest takeaway from our work together?*

There is still so much I hope to do, and so much I want to give my students. It is ok to gradually build up to my goals but in the meantime, it is important to establish boundaries and charge what I’m worth.

How were we able to solve the problems you were facing?

Rylie: We solved literally everything – My invoices are set up, the fees are set for the semester, and I was able to take on a few extra students without the huge worries of rescheduling makeup lessons. My Music Staff is a lifesaver! I also finally have a summer lesson scheduling system that really works with the flexibility that my families and I need!
